To update to WHMCS 8.2.1 using the Automatic Updater, your server must be running PHP 7.2 or later.
If you're using PHP 7.1 or earlier, first upgrade your PHP version to 7.2 or 7.3, then check for updates to install WHMCS 8.2.1.
After updating to WHMCS 8.2.1, you can optionally upgrade to PHP 7.4 for better performance.
